experiencing technical difficulties...

I am having problems downloading my images from my camera to the computer...

had to get tech support Friday night for the Norton Virus Protection that we run on all our puters...

and finally got it downloaded and working again...

and now the crazy part that downloads my images won't run...

went in and reinstalled all my disks...

(and a really cool editor that I thought that I had lost)

hence all the images today...

(I have been playing a bit)

went into Norton for tech help again and there were 54 in the queue...

so that means you have to wait FOREVER!

will work on it later, maybe even in the middle of the night so I can get in and out quickly...

in the meantime...

here is something to look at...

as I tell you about our day...

without images...

I know, boring, right?

I will post them as soon as I can get them out of my camera!

anyway, got up way too early...

like 1am...

bright eyed and bushy tailed...

did laundry and cleaned the kitchen...

played on the computer and read...

mower guy shows up and I am snoring away...

( I really don't snore, honest)

but the dog is jumping on me barking up a storm...

hobble out on the deck and had him the money over the rail...

without caffeine...but I did pee first...

(good thing)

as soon as I got woke up, Craig, Tia and I hit the side yard...

DH hit the burn pile...

we did some good out there...

came in for lunch at noon...

ate really good and all that...

back out for a bit and coming back in, I killed my knee walking through the threshold of the front door...

dumb...

so dumb...

iced is down and praying its ok...

(it really freakin' hurt!)

been looking for disks and installing stuff ever since...

did get a shower in there, too...

cuz I had a buddy crawling all over my back and couldn't get it squished with the bedroom door facing...

(now there's a sight)

the guys are napping...

Tia went home, she has to work this evening...

and I am still wide awake...

neighbor called and wanted to know if I wanted any pots...

she is getting rid of a bunch...

der...

going down in a bit and see what's in the pile...

we are having hot days...

but the mornings and evenings are bearable...

hope you are able to get out and enjoy some of this sunshine...

and the summer keeps speeding along...

got plans for the 4th??? 

we are watching fireworks right here in our very own little town!

they used to do them at the golf course every year about 30 years ago...

and then they quit...

some but hard working and crafty citizens came up with a plan...

mostly the local volunteer firemen!

to get them going again...

and want to add to the activities as the years go on...

like a little festival...

we use to have several throughout the years, but not anymore...

so, a very good thing for us!

anyhoo...

I have bored you long enough...

the first day of summer is special to me...

happy birthday, grandpa...

he is waiting for me on the other side...

he's been waiting for 25 years now...

I miss him the most, I think...

the most patient, loving man I have ever met in my life...

and he loved me...

I would so love to crawl back into his lap again...

it was the best place to be...

went out this morning, got a tad of rain through the night...

so we didn't have to water, thinking more might come this afternoon...

so we did a little rearranging with the fence sections...

took a walk, too...

dead headed a few things...

they have been spraying bad ties...

so will be replacing them this summer...

fun to watch how they do it...

mulberries are good bird feed...

and yes, they are pooping purple all over the place...

blooms on the green beans...

and they are purple!

came in for lunch and started on my bedroom and bath...

heard thunder...

and my boy, who has some fun ideas sometimes...

thought it would be nice to watch the rain come in...

so we stopped and went out on the deck...

it was just a bare sprinkling going on...

so I did what any normal person would do...

I sat on the steps in the rain...

and it was nice, so I walked around and twirled around...

while my poor son thought his mom had lost her mind...

white, thin tank tops become transparent when wet...

I have on my 'tutti frutti' bra this morning...

multi colored pinstripe...

good thing the neighbors can't see in the yard is all I am saying about that...

cuz I got drenched...

the storm has passed now, after we came in and finished what we started...

Craiger wanted a day to cook...

chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, dressing...

the works...

just a glimpse of what we worked on this morning...

have plans on moving some plants around here, too, this weekend...

got DH to myself tomorrow, but both guys will be here Sunday...

I so cannot believe it is Friday...

or that they haven't got the truck fixed yet...

got the pathology report back on my lumpy boob and it was negative...

when I was a kid...

in Ohio...

here in Illinois, its head high by the fourth of July...

I don't think it will have any problems making that...

a bit of the moon was out this morning...

'corn is boring, show me some trees to pee on'...

there will be plenty to do out here when the temps go down...

the weeds are liking this weather, too...

and so are the bugs...

I can't wait for a break in this so I can get back out there...

I did feel better today and got some work done inside...

just the basics and some cooking...

and a nap or two...

Doug and Paula are coming up tomorrow afternoon...

do not have anything planned but just visit...

another miserable day on the prairie...

I have no idea where this heat and humidity came from...

but it can leave anytime...

I stayed inside all day...

Craig took me for a walk after 8 tonight...

I think the farmer might want to replant some of his beans...

but our beans are doing great...

and there are baby tomatoes...

I walked back here tonight...

and there are blooms on them now...

so ready for fresh green beans and sliced tomatoes...

the mechanic called on the truck today...

they can't get it to die...

we will be out watering early in the morning...

its still better than all that snow we got last winter...
