T time...

going to be a busy couple of days...

so I will leave you with these...

got much to do and things to see...

I may not be around until Sunday...

I have no idea what these are, cannot remember, but I didn't plant them...

Easter dinner is set for Saturday at 3pm...

Easter egg hunt and car show up town first...

tomorrow, we need to go shopping...

but that might just end up being DH going...

he can do it faster without me anyway...

made one too many trips to the bathroom this afternoon...

but...

I did find a sink full of morel mushrooms this evening...

;o)

have a blessed weekend...

semi busy day...

it didn't start out very productive...

really slept in this morning...

but by the time I got moving, the sun was really warm...

I worked out here for an hour or so...

and then road around the yard on the mower picking up sticks and running the dogs around...

for all the rain we got, its still bone dry!

all of this just so we don't have to move this old glider when we mow...

I need more bricks or pavers...

but that will happen soon enough...

peonies have tiny little buds on them!

and so that's the day's improvement...

found some wild strawberries on the very north edge of the yard...

this is the second siting in 4 days of a bunch of lady bugs...

maple trees are leaving out and making helicopters...

autumn clematis...

weeds, flowers, weeds, tree, weeds, bike, weeds...

lily of the valley liked the rain...

so much more to do, but we have all summer to finish it!

as promised...

our quick run around on Sunday...

we had to go the grocery store for a few things and we have gotten into this habit of going when they have lunch ready to go in the deli...

my fun dinner this weekend was cat fish...

we didn't take too long, because we didn't want our food to get cold...

there are some pretty places in town...

the tulips are opening up all over...

check out the leaves on these...

they have spots!

some very talented gardeners...

and there's a few with easter decorations, too...

(so I am not the only nutty one around town)

we got a good soaking of rain yesterday...

and all around us got hail, but we did not...

still overcast today...

and a bit cooler...

50s...

enough to wear a flannel shirt or a sweat shirt...

and what do I do when we ride around?

(besides taking photos?)

I heckle my friends...

only in a small town can you pull up in front of someone's place and just holler...

he is so proud of his roadster!

its one of his new toys...

I got some good photos for him and will shoot it again this coming weekend...

Saturday is our annual easter egg hunt on the square...

AND...

they have added a car show to happen, too...

this will be the roadster's first appearance...

and the old chevy will be there, too...

so, there you have it...

a beautiful day and a hot rod...

he found a beer keg and put it on the back for a gas tank...

finally, a good weekend to be outside...

even if there are dandelions and seed pods coming off of the trees by the billions...

my tulips are opening and I think we might have lost a few since last year...

probably squirrels...

a baby that will be transplanted soon...

as soon as I figure out where to put it...

but after lunch, I headed out and this is where I parked my butt...

my mother in law's lily of the valley have taken hold...

(they are pretty easy to grow)

and the fern are uncurling...

(one of my favorite things to watch happen)

taking the bricks out of the border...

so I can mow right up to the flower beds on this side...

we got up to 75...

and I was out in a tank top...

the wind was blowing hard, though...

and until all the seed pods come down...

we won't be able to stay ahead of things...

I know that new blower/vac/mulcher is going to come in handy for that...

;o)

I have been doing ensure since Friday...

and my energy is coming back...

I am able to do the daily things plus a little extra now...

come back tomorrow and I will take you on a quick trip around town...

it was so pretty!

now this is the sure sign of spring around here...

worked out here in the sunshine after lunch...

need to thin some things out when it warms up just a bit more...

one of the next projects...

bottom- annuals...

upper dirt section...

pavers to set the bench on so we don't have to move it to mow...

OR

I have several lilacs, azalea and forsythia to transplant...

but the dirt is worked up and the grass and weeds are gone...

kind of hard to tell we had 2 inches of rain, but the wind dries things out fast...

and wind we have..

there are lots of things going on here...

mower guy mowed Friday evening and then rolled the yard yesterday...

we are working on getting things caught up inside, too...

along with porch sitting...

I just didn't have the energy to get much done the last couple of weeks...

sedum...

now, DH is coming down with the same thing...

just doesn't feel good and tires out easily...

lilac blown by the wind...

and the winds are supposed to be 40-50 mph today...

so, we might not be out too much in that unless we work where we have a wind break...

and if DH is not up to it, we will just hang out...

next weekend looks like rain all weekend...

it will be a good time to get the grocery shopping done...

and more housework...
