These photos came in an email a couple days ago...

I think it said from Colorado Springs...
this beautiful red fox napped in the bird bath for hours in someone's back yard...
isn't he/she pretty?
we used to have them here...
but a couple years ago there was a distemper outbreak and the cop even had to kill one just down the street...
he was so sick...
they run the railroad to get from field to field without being seen...
so sometimes they hop off here and go through us to get to the field behind us...
I just love to watch them...
I have photos somewhere on here of them...
but nothing as good as these...
they like cat food!
fed one mama with kittens when she lost her mate, but as soon as they were big enough to move...
they were gone...
I miss them...
but just thought you  would enjoy these beautiful photos of one...
been up all night again...
but its good...
it broke about 1am and has been draining...
so no more pain...
I can walk...
and I can sit down...
my guys have been super!
the jokes were hilarious and I have plans on getting even later...
have to pick my battles, since I'm out numbered...
but they would get me laughing, which wasn't cool...
because everything would shake and it would hurt so bad...
and they would keep it up...
and when it opened, DH woke right up and got to hot packing...
half asleep and all...
Craig stayed with me until 3am...
so DH could get some sleep...
and even though I threatened to kick their butts last night...
to be scheduled at a later date...
I wouldn't trade them for nothing...
well, almost nothing...
if Johnny Depp was thrown in there...
and in a pirate costume...
I would have some thinking to do...
it's cloudy and 22 out...
perfect day to sleep until noon!

glad you are feeling better.

Love the picture...you would think with fox ridge we would have more!! I don't think I saw one until a few yrs ago my sister in laws mother died and at the funeral one ran across in front of us during the ceremony at the cemetery. Then I saw one at my cousins back yard in Charleston. they are beautiful

Hi Tete, thank you for your lovely post on my blog. I just love the pretty birds in your blogger background. The beautiful red fox is so cute. I saw one before, believe it or not walking through a hotel parking lot. It was a tiny one, they are gorgeous creatures. And fairly gentle. Thanks for sharing xoxo tami

What amazing photos! Such a beautiful fox, I have always loved them, too. And I heard that there was a Johnny Depp siting in your area:)!!!! (or is that just a vicious rumor?!)

Beautiful pictures of the red fox. I'm glad you're on the mend with the boils. Don asked if they were carbuncles. He had an aunt who had major problems with those. Used some sort of drawing salve that he said really smelled bad.

Just beautiful, Tete. I see at least one fox about twice a week on my way to work. My son sees them early mornings out along the bay..they are gorgeous animals. One of them that I see is quite large..the other one much smaller. Hugs-Tete
