got DH home with me today...

and there are about a million walnuts that we need to pick up before the guy comes to mow!
so we will be busy...

we have had a couple of chilly days here...
but it is going to warm back up a bit...

I took these yesterday...
late afternoon...

there are still some things blooming around here...

and our ferns did really well this year...

I have tried giving them away the last couple of years in the fall before the frost gets them...
and no one wants them...

the leaves are just beginning to fall...
and they are not pretty this year...
too much dry and not enough rain...

I love old things...
things that have fulfilled their 1st job and did it well...
but can still be "supportive"...

things that others have tossed for something new and fresh...

showing a little mileage...

even a little broken...
its like us that are aging...
still good for something...
still full of beauty if you know where to look...
and not quite ready to be tossed again...

I like to bring things home to live out the rest of their lives here...

like a junque nursing home...
:)
old and tattered...
still with purpose...
if nothing else but to make me smile...
:)

well, I am up like normal, but the rest are sleeping in...
long game last night...
I gave up and headed for bed...
by the way...
CUBS WIN

have a great weekend!

Tete, I like to think we are all still good for something. There's a lot of mileage happening here. LOL. I think we are having the very same weather. I was chilly yesterday. Blessings, take care, xoxo, Susie

Yep- us old broads are good for something-even it is just to serve as an object of amusement to someone else. lol

Your pictures are wonderful, Tete, as they always are. You really take good pictures. Not sure if I ever asked you what kind of camera you use. I'd be interested to know.

Hope you have a good weekend. Is DH on overtime at the workplace yet or is it too early? (or too late?

Have a good night- xo Diana
