1.  My favorite time to take a walk is in the rain, and since I cannot walk too far anymore, I will grab my umbrella and a handful of paper towels, and go out and sit in the garden.  The towels are to dry off the seat.  When I was younger, I would walk until I was soaking wet.
2.  I have naturally wavy hair.  Most people think I spend hours curling my hair.  Nope.
I blow dry and go, mostly to straighten it out.  When I was in high school, I used to iron my hair on the ironing board in the kitchen.
3.  I was saved when I was 12 years old and baptized in a river.  Really.
4.  We used to have a snow mobile when we lived in Ohio, and I was grounded more than I got to ride, it seemed.  I went too fast, jumped the road, etc...but I never got in trouble for doing the shoot behind the barn.  And I never rolled it like my dad and brother did!
5.  I used to be very, very shy...to where it scared me to death, until 4th grade.  I came out of my shell and it's been snowballin' ever since.  My DH used to hate going anywhere with me.  As far as he knows, I have never met a stranger.  I talk to everyone, and even when I don't, they find me.
6.  I love chocolate!  But I don't like chocolate cake, chocolate milk or dark chocolate.  I'm a HERSHEY girl all the way, and Reese's Peanut Butter cups and Cadbury Eggs- but that's it!
7.  I don't do coffee.  Never have, never will.  Don't like it at all, and when I have tried it, I end up shaking so bad, it's not even funny.

Now for my list of 15 bloggers to pass this on to...
and this is hard to pick just 15, because each and everyone of you deserve it...

You have created a monster...

a photo bug has been born...
and his name is Craig...
all of your wonderful comments on his photography has his chest fluffed up bigger than a momma robin on a spring day...
he now calls himself "AWESOME"...
and he has been listening about light and shadow...
and he is getting the best shots...
he HAD to get the glistening shots...
he was in such a frenzy...
because he knows the moment passes and is gone forever...
and the best time to get the best photos is when God is smiling down on us...
and he has learned to get down and find weird angles...
now just check this out...
the sun has the lines glowing...
and he knew to find the shot with the darker clouds in the background to make the lines pop...
he's almost as good as his momma....
and he is listening and wants to learn and do better each time...
he took 176 photos today...
so there will be more coming...
I won't make you look at every single one...
but there are some more awesome ones I want to share...
it's just so beautiful...
and just a sneak peek...
this is going to be my Pink Saturday post in more detail...
I got my giveaway from Lori Lynn today...
isn't it awesome?
look at all the goodies she packed in my box!
each one was wrapped individually and it was so much fun to open each and everyone...
and the smell. oh the smell, is so wonderful!
if I never win another thing in my entire life, that will be fine with me...
because this is the best surprise box EVER!
if I were to go shopping, this is what I would buy!
this is so me!
thank you, Lori Lynn!

ok, the "MONSTER" has supper ready, so I had better go now...
more later!

Happy Ground Hog Day!

Puxatony Phil will hopefully not have a shadow...
the end of our driveway this morning...
3 inches of ice and 3 inches of snow...
just think if that would have all been snow...
that could have been 20-24 inches of snow or more!...
my sympathies to all you getting it all in snow...
look at all the little limbs down...
not sure how many we will lose...
winds today may bring down more...
and some we won't know about until it all melts off...
limbs are touching the ground everywhere...
and I might lose my rose of sharon...
DH started off for work but didn't get too far when they called here and said he might as well stay home...
everyone else had called in...
so I called him and he turned around and came back home...
it is blowing in the country some...
these holes are where the ice sickles are falling off of the power lines...
so all of you snowed in today...
here is the perfect read...
on sale at Amazon for less than $7...
isn't this little cup cake just the cutest thing?...
so another thing to do today if you can't get out and have a house full of kids or grandkids...
just talked to Rebecca and they still don't have their power back on...
she is on her way to work...
I know, crazy girl...
she's got about 20 miles to get there and most of it is out in the open...
if she can get there, she can always crash at her parents' house...
they live right there where she works...
the guys are going to have to chisel off the porch today...
the footprints froze from yesterday and last night...
DH almost turned his ankle this morning...
I am sure there will be more photos...
Have a good day!

Our ice storm...

here are the rest of the photos from yesterday...
Craig took 67 photos...
we really have enough to document this winter in the scrapbook for sure...
we lost power once...
for about 15 seconds and then it came back on...
the sleet stopped and then it started again before changing to rain...
between 6-10pm the temperature kept rising...
but now the temperature is back down...
I have 25 right now...
the winds are calm...
it is snowing now...
on top of 3 inches of ice and sleet...
Rebecca left me a comment that they lost power again...
she will call me when it is back on...
she has a wood burning stove in her parlor...
we heard on the late news that some counties have closed all the roads in their counties...
some parts of the interstates are closed...
at least with ice and sleet, when the winds were high, it didn't blow around and drift or cause a white out...
these photos are the neighbor's lots...
there are many limbs down from those beautiful elm trees...
they are so old...
in the summer, when the sun is setting...
the leaves sparkle and glisten...
the guys are going to go out tomorrow when they can see better to check our trees again...
I know we are going to have some broken limbs...
I can't wait till this all melts off and it's all behind us...
I prayed for God's protection during the storm...
and I asked for angels to hold up the power lines and poles so we wouldn't lose power...
and I asked for angels to protect our home and property...
and we have been safe...
thank you, Lord...
welp, I'm holed up until spring and signing off for now...

Update:

Still have power, but we have been getting sleet for the last several hours and the wind just picked up big time.  Praying the power stays on and no trees down.  Rebecca had her power back on earlier this afternoon and she has been blogging.  DH made it home.  They sent him home early, right after lunch.  He ran by the store really quick for more milk and pop.  We are officially hibernating now.  The sleet is constantly hitting the windows and the wind is howling.  Trees and bushes are bobbing stiffly out there.  I just hope you all are doing ok.  We are to have snow tonight (3-5) inches and tomorrow (1 inch).  Sure is a lot different than they were first calling for.  Thursday the temperature is to be very low, high of 17, but then it gets better from there.  We just need to sit tight until this is finished.
The only good thing about all of this is that that crazy ground hog won't see his shadow tomorrow and we get an early spring!  I, personally, think we deserve it after this winter.

Oh, yeah- we haven't had the thunder or lightening yet.

The sleet just quit.  It's way too quiet.  Must have changed over to snow. I can hear the wind still, but no sleet.  Better go check this out.
