a lazy evening drive...

I love taking drives through the country...

and around here, its not hard to do...

we are but a little spec of a town surrounded by country...

the creeks are dry...

waiting for it to cool off...

going to love the cooler days coming...

its about time to start with the fall clean up...

things aren't looking so good out there...

summer is fading away...

it won't be long until school starts here...

the corn is starting to turn...

and the ears are beginning to drop...

the beans have a way to go yet, but they will start picking the corn in about 2 weeks...

going to do the usual housekeeping stuff today...

not going anywhere or anything special...

babies are on their way...

met a newbie to our rescue yesterday afternoon...

and she will be fostering the babies until their homes are found...

she took the photos and posted them right away on facebook...

we will miss them, but know this is what's best for them and their new families...

then we headed for town and got my antibiotics at Walmart...

headed for County Market, coupons in hand...

and we saved $51 with them this time...

that's always a good thing...

we grabbed supper at Taco Bell...

it had been closed for awhile for renovations...

so we just wanted to see the inside!

they went with an industrial look, but didn't seemed finished to me...

lacked accents and all, but it is nice...

and the food was fast and the best its ever been there...

it hadn't been updated in over 30 years...

we were talking about taking Craig there when he was very small...

it was the only other fast food he would do besides McDonald's...

and we used to get so sick of doing McDonald's every single time we went out...

LOL

just a couple more days and the cooler weather will be here...

I am hoping to open some windows soon...

and blow the stink out of here...

it seems like forever since we have done that...

when I was a kid...

there was a pasture up against our side yard...

and depending on the time of year...

we would be graced with cows or sheep...

I miss them both...

for many years, I would pick up the fallen miniature sweet pears and feed them to the cows...

they would come running when I called them...

isn't he adorable?

I could take him home...

cows are really big babies...

and they do make great whoppers...

we saw proof last night that fall is coming...

and I am ready...

DH went to get his safety glasses after work with one of the other guys last night...

and brought us whoppers home for supper...

it was darn good, too...

(and I didn't have to cook)

got plans to head to town tomorrow when he gets home...

picking up the antibiotic at Walmart...

and taking the coupons to County Market...

they have some good sales going on...

and eating supper out...

spent the day yesterday doing mostly nothing...

it wasn't planned that way and I have no idea how that happened...

but it did...

;o)

there is so much I could have/should have done...

but oh well, its still there and will be when I get to it...

and here I was doing so well at trying to keep up...

do I feel guilty...

maybe just a tiny little bit...

but I am sure I will get over it...

we have 2 babies leaving us this morning, too...

so need to get them ready to go...

the rescue will take over now and get them adopted...

our job with them is done...

I finally dove off the big board this morning...

the nurse called me this morning...

and...

she was just now calling in the antibiotic...

who knows when I will get that...

its going to take a run to Charleston...

hmmmm....

got to get moving...

we have things to do here and its not getting done with me on the computer...

I could sure use some fairies about now...

a little bit of fun...

I am so frustrated with the nurses that work for my doctor...

I told her to call the prescription in to the pharmacy where Craig works so he could pick it up on his way out...

I have to track that down today...

and we have to run to Paris to pick up the one for the blood sugar...

new one for me that I take once a day...

and I could have moved it to the other pharmacy...

but they have a coupon there and it makes it free...

I hope the antibiotic is there, too...

or somewhere over in Paris...

I really like this doctor...

but getting my prescriptions is like pulling teeth...

I cannot wait until their new clinic opens up here in town this fall...

I will go to whoever comes here...

it will be so much easier for me to get in when I need to...

especially in bad weather...

its been many years since we have had a clinic here in town...

I got to just hold on until that happens...

have good days...

hoping I get to make a stop somewhere fun while we are over there...

haven't had one all year...

UPDATE:

after researching this new drug online, I need to talk to my doctor before I even begin to think about taking it...

I have no idea why he won't just put me on insulin...

and Craig and I are staying home today...

will do the running to Paris tomorrow...
